Two months before their annual leadership conference, 800 Olive Garden general managers received a special note from Dan Kiernan, Olive Garden Executive Vice President of Operations. Kiernan invited the GMs to share how they’ll help Olive Garden win in the coming year by delivering 100% team member and guest delight to drive guest count growth via Purpose, Hospitaliano! GMs were directed to a special website, OliveGardenWin.com, customized by OFC and Kaltura. An invitation video challenged GMs to submit a 10-second video demonstrating their winning spirit. What happened next, was nothing short of amazing, as GMs unleashed a tidal wave of creativity and passion around the winning spirit, enabled by Kaltura’s MediaSpace social video portal. GMs uploaded an astounding 343 video submissions, generating 5,939 views across computers (62% of views), mobile (30% of views) and tablet devices (8% of views). The spectrum of storytelling was incredible, spanning confessional to cinematic and heartfelt to humorous, with a little Harlem Shake thrown in for good measure! OFC assembled this mosaic into a video montage that opened the conference and electrified attendees. This program was a huge success and clearly demonstrated Olive Garden's passion to be "In It To Win It!"
